Terms of service.

Last updated 7 November 2026

These terms apply when you buy a project or plan from The Tech Stack. By paying, you agree to them. Please read them first, and message me if anything is unclear.

1. Who I am.

The Tech Stack is run by Steph, trading through Level Up X Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 16275885, VAT number 488 1993 26. Registered office: Union House, 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX. This address is for official correspondence only; no marketing materials or other post. Contact: steph@thetechstack.co.uk

2. What I offer.

Projects

  • Websites: a one-page site, a portfolio site (up to 5 pages) or a brand refresh of an existing site (up to 5 pages), built in Framer.

  • AI chatbot: added to a website or on its own.

  • AEO audit and fixes: changes to an existing site to help AI tools and search engines understand your business.

  • Compliance Fix (clinics): a free Spot Check, a Page Fix or a Full Site Fix, to bring your website wording in line with advertising rules for prescription-only medicines.

Plans

  • Care and Priority: ongoing support for a site I’ve built (section 9).

  • Customer Retention: Google review requests and past-customer emails, offered to existing clients (section 10).

What’s included and the price are shown on the website or in your written quote when you buy.

3. Payment.

  • Projects are paid in full at checkout, before work starts.

  • Care is paid monthly. Priority is paid quarterly, in advance.

  • Prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT at the current rate.

  • Full Site Fix credit: if you upgrade to a Brand Refresh within 30 days of paying for a Full Site Fix, the Full Site Fix fee comes off the Brand Refresh price.

4. How a project runs.

  • You pay through the checkout.

  • You send your details using the questionnaire I send after checkout, with everything in section 5.

  • I build and test it. The timeline shown when you bought starts once I have your completed questionnaire and everything I need.

  • You review it and send any changes (section 6).

  • We launch. I hand over your site with a written guide.

If I’m waiting on content, access or feedback from you, the timeline pauses until I have it.

5. What I need from you.

  • Your content: words, images, logo and any brand guidelines you have.

  • Access to the accounts your project uses, such as your domain, Framer, Google Business Profile or booking software.

  • Feedback within 3 working days when I ask for it.

  • Confirmation that you have the rights to everything you send me.

If I don’t hear from you for 30 days during a project, I’ll treat it as delivered.

6. Revisions.

  • Each project includes 3 rounds of revisions within the scope we agree at the start.

  • A round is one set of changes sent together in writing.

  • Changes outside the scope, or beyond 3 rounds, can be quoted separately or handled through a support plan.

7. Communication.

  • Everything is done in writing, by email or the project chat. There are no calls or voice notes.

  • During a project, I reply within 1 working day.

8. After launch.

  • You get 14 days of support after launch, for questions and for fixing anything that isn’t working as agreed.

  • After that, help is available through Care, Priority or a new quote.

9. Support plans.

Care and Priority are for clients whose site I built.

Care: £79 a month

  • 2 small updates a month, such as text, images, prices or dates, up to 30 minutes each.

  • A monthly check of links, forms, mobile layout and speed.

  • Chatbot answer updates, if you have a chatbot.

  • Replies within 2 working days.

  • You pay Framer hosting directly.

  • Cancelling: cancel in writing any time before your next payment date. Your plan runs to the end of the month you’ve paid for, then stops.

Priority: £599 a quarter with a build, £699 a quarter if you join later

  • Up to 3 hours of changes a month.

  • 1 new section a month (one section, not a full page).

  • Everything in Care.

  • An SEO and AEO audit with fixes every quarter.

  • A compliance check on new pages, for clinics.

  • A monthly report.

  • Replies within 1 working day. Urgent problems, such as the site being down or a form not working, are looked at the same evening.

  • Hosting: included on Framer’s Basic plan, with your site in my Framer account. If your site needs Framer’s Pro plan, it’s £30 a month extra.

  • Minimum term: one quarter.

  • Cancelling: cancel in writing before your next quarter starts. Your plan runs to the end of the quarter you’ve paid for, then stops.

  • If you cancel: I’ll move your site to a Framer account in your name before your plan ends. From then on, you pay Framer directly. Your site and its content are yours to keep.

Both plans

  • Unused updates and hours don’t roll over, and Priority hours can’t be saved up across the quarter.

  • New pages, redesigns and new features beyond the plan are quoted separately.

  • If a payment fails, your plan pauses until it’s paid.

10. Customer Retention plan.

Offered to existing clients only. It covers Google review requests and email campaigns to your past customers. The price, setup fee and what’s included are confirmed in writing before you sign up. It runs separately from Care and Priority, and stays active if you cancel either of them.

  • Claiming and verifying your Google Business Profile is done on your own Google account. I’ll talk you through it.

  • Every customer gets the same review request. There are no incentives, and no filtering to only ask happy customers.

  • You pay the email platform directly.

11. Your customers’ data.

Some projects mean I handle your customers’ or patients’ personal data, such as chatbot conversations, form enquiries, review requests or customer email lists.

  • You’re the data controller and I’m your data processor.

  • We sign a written data processing agreement before that work starts.

  • I use the data only to do the work you’ve asked for and keep it secure. When the work ends, I delete it or return it to you.

  • For clinics, chatbots answer questions and help with bookings. They aren’t set up to collect health or medical details.

12. Tools and extra costs.

  • My fee covers my work. Tools your site runs on, such as Framer, your domain, the chatbot tool or an email platform, charge their own fees. You pay these directly, unless your plan includes them. I’ll tell you which ones you need before work starts.

  • Your domain and tool accounts are in your name and belong to you. The exception is Priority hosting (section 9).

  • I’m not responsible for changes to a tool’s features, prices or availability, or for problems caused by the tool itself.

13. Advertising compliance (clinics).

  • Compliance Fixes, Spot Checks and compliance checks are based on published ASA and CAP guidance. They’re not legal advice.

  • You approve every word before it goes live. You remain responsible for what your clinic publishes, including making sure it meets advertising rules.

  • For a final check, you can use CAP’s free Copy Advice service.

14. AI chatbots and AI content.

  • A chatbot answers from the information you give it. Please check its answers before launch and tell me when your information changes.

  • AI can make mistakes. You’re responsible for what’s published or sent under your business name.

15. Satisfaction and refunds.

  • If you’re not happy, tell me in writing and I’ll work with you to put it right.

  • If you cancel before I’ve started work, you’ll get a full refund.

  • Once work has started, refunds are agreed jointly, based on the work completed.

  • If you’re buying as a consumer, you also have legal rights that these terms don’t affect.

16. Ownership.

  • Once you’ve paid in full, you own the final site and content I deliver to you.

  • Templates, fonts, images and tools from other providers stay under their own licence terms.

  • I keep my general methods, checklists and know-how, and can use them in other work.

  • I may show your project in my portfolio. If you’d rather I didn’t, tell me in writing.

17. Results.

I build every site to work properly and test it before launch. I can’t guarantee specific results, such as enquiries, bookings, search rankings or appearing in AI answers, because these depend on things outside my control.

18. Liability.

My total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid for the project or plan concerned. I’m not liable for losses caused by third-party tools, or for indirect losses such as lost profit. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law.

19. Confidentiality.

I keep your business information and logins private, use them only for your project, and don’t share them. How I handle personal data is explained in my privacy policy at thetechstack.co.uk/privacy-policy.

20. Changes to these terms.

I may update these terms from time to time. Projects use the terms in place when you paid. Care and Priority clients get 30 days’ notice by email before a change applies to them.

21. Disputes and law.

If something goes wrong, message me first and we’ll try to sort it out together. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
